In and Out of Love

All this time you are doing important things like falling in and out of love–things which broaden and deepen and strengthen the character more surely than anything else. I can honestly say I’ve never been in love. When I pined for you I was too young to know what I was doing– no offence meant. Since then I haven’t lost an hour’s sleep over any of Eve’s daughters. This means I am growing up lop-sided, an overgrown boy.
