All this time you are doing important things like falling in and out of love–things which broaden and deepen and strengthen the character more surely than anything else. I can honestly say I’ve never been in love. When I pined for you I was too young to know what I was doing– no offence meant. Since then I haven’t lost an hour’s sleep over any of Eve’s daughters.
