Seek and You Will Find

The grandson at full height comes to his grandfather’s knees, but he speaks looking straight up as though it’s the most ordinary way to hold a conversation. Baba smiles down at him as the boy describes something exciting. Then the boy makes a proclamation and turns to a nearby pole, away from Grandpa, covering his eyes and counting slowly. When he gets to ten he turns. His grandfather is still beaming over at him. “Grandpa,” the boy scolds.

“Oh! You found me!” The man calls back in great surprise. “How clever you are! You found me!” The boy laughs and Grandpa remains in place as the tiny countdown begins again.
