A dear family friend in her 90s went on a cruise of Iceland and felt it wasn’t adventurous enough. She’s a zip-lining, swim with dolphins kind of gal. I loved just driving around Iceland (exploring the moon, it seemed!) with my friend Alyson. Yet, Elaine has inspired me to step up my game!
ItΒ΄s Iceland alright!
(;
wow, it’s incredible. do you have polar bears?
I’m not sure if they do. Didn’t see any. Just the wild ponies, that dog, and the occasional reindeer herd. π
I feel the biting cold. It reminds me of my time living in Northern Manitoba when I walked to school in – 50 degrees F. It was exhilarating.
Brrr! I love winter, but that’s more exhilaration than I could handle! Hi to you, Clanmother!
Amazing pictures!
Thanks so much! It was quite a road trip! π
Beautiful images! Looks like spectacular solitude … not boring at all!
Great pictures! I’d love to go to Iceland. It seems like such a unique place.
It was a really good experience. I wouldn’t have gone if a friend hadn’t suggested it and flew over to meet me there. Usually I travel alone, but it was a place I think I wouldn’t have wanted to navigate solo. Lots of abandoned farms on that highway! π
Iceland is breathtaking. Loved the place and I want to go back!
I’d like to go back when it isn’t totally frozen.
The quote together with the beautiful winter photos created a nice mood. Looks like the winter we’re having now.
Stunning and brilliant photos!
Absolutely phantastic pictures that really capture the spirit of that country.
Vielen Dank! I’ll be checking you blogs to keep my German alive. π
Gern geschehen. I’d really be happy so see you on my blogs – and even if it’s only for you to keep your German alive. π
Best regards from southern Texas,
Pit
Loved the pictures of the dogs! And yes, very “moon-like”
Neat! Iceland is definitely on my travel list!
