The Courage to Be

Lodged in your heart is the power to walk into somebody’s life and give him or her what the bright light Paul Tillich called “the courage to be.” Can you fathom that? You have the power to give someone the courage to be, simply by the touch of your affirmation.

Love Brennan Manning! His book “The Ragamuffin Gospel” is a favorite and been highlighted many times over.

    • This was my first of his books, but I absolutely devoured it. I bought a copy to tote along in Europe later this year. I think it will be one to semi-memorize. πŸ™‚

Wonderful, that’s very encouraging to know we can make a difference.

    • Nicci,
It’s a huge call to action, though. πŸ™‚ It reminds us of our possibilities and our impact (sometimes unintentional). I’ve been mulling this over a lot lately.

It’s a deep and worthy topic to contemplate.
