You Can Tell Me

Yes, it’s true, I was speaking to myself, but don’t we all? We all have a second person buried inside us, a dear friend to whom we whisper to our heart’s content; and some of us even have a third.

They say it’s okay to talk to yourself, but not to answer yourself. But I think: why talk if I can’t reply? 🙂

I think they mean when we laugh at our own jokes. But even then – I think you are correct…why talk if I can’t reply…Brilliant!!!

Ah, yes, but sometimes we are pretty darn funny, right? I try not to talk to myself in public, though–unless I want a seat to myself on a bus.

I promised to keep those conversations in confidence…but the stories I could share! : ) Sweet puppy!!!

Hehe, yes, exactly. I have a lot of things I need to keep to myself.
Arthur loves his other bulldog. 🙂

OMG, how adorable, I’d be talking with that baby all day, too!

Thanks! Now I have an excuse for talking to myself – I mean the other person inside of me!

I love how this works out. It’s also nice to know there are others who so the same sort of self-talk…and not just me. And me. And my third. 🙂

If I didn’t talk to me, who would I talk to? Well, sometimes my dog.

I think this is a secret motivation of many in pet ownership. Someone to whom we can direct the monologue. Plants will suffice. Also, it seems just wearing one of those bluetooth headsets gives one permission to ramble on! In public even. 🙂

It’s when your other self doesn’t want to listen that you run into trouble. O.o

I finally let my other self run the show… it has been great!

Yes, we certainly do. I just wish that second or third person would answer back every so often when I talk to him/her 😉
