Creative Non-Fiction Short Stories. :) Travel, Oldsters, Love, and Compassion.
One of my favorite things is to see the search terms that bring people to the blog. I wanted to share my ten favorites. Many made me laugh, but still, I recognized each story that would come up for the hunter.
Also, I just realized I’ve been blogging for over a year. I hope I’m hitting my secret goal–which was to get readers to take a second look at the people around them, at the moments they are living, at the kindness we can so easily miss. Keep hunting for nice things, my friends! Thanks for reading–and for searching!
My Favorite NTAS Search Terms:
“chuck norris” drowns a guy in “rice”
small talk in nursing homes
staring contests siblings
new hajduk split soccer tracksuit
people leaning on each other
do australian men like croatian women?
greenery scenery
sad love boys images
“leggings as pants” Budapest
graffiti writing i love u
I have never checked mine, I’m not sure I want to know. Your list gave me the giggles. I love your blog, always a fantastic read!
I looked at NTAS results… my favorite, BY FAR, is: “gun to my head I would totally do Stephen Colbert!” π

Hmm, wrong blog, perhaps? He’s never graced our webpages. π We’re PG here.
No, no… I meant people found me through that search. Sorry. π
Ahhh! Gotcha. Now THAT sounds like an entertaining blog post! π
I think it came through my Twitter feed, actually. One day I tweeted that I felt the coolest that I had ever been because Stephen Colbert’s Twitter account retweeted one of my tweets. π
I really enjoy your blog posts! And today I enjoyed a chuckle, here, too! How does one drown in rice anyways? Must have still been in the field. π

Hehe, I agree. But a rice drowning would be a horrible end! One only Chuck Norris could envision. π Thanks so much for swinging by!
I look at mine sometimes too and think,”how weird”! They really are obscure!
But it’s nice to know someone is looking, right? π
What a great idea, to blog about your search terms! I get a giggle from mine too. I think it’s great that strangers stop by for a look, even though it might not be what they are looking for!
I have a lot of people looking for “beautiful Croatian women,” and I don’t imagine they want to read short stories about them–but perhaps they do! π
Fun stuff.
really think the caption to your 1st grade pic is superb π and what on earth is a ‘sad love boy’??? π
I’m off to check mine out right now. Thanks for the giggles. π
Thanks for coming by! It’s almost as cool as the “Views by Country,” and apparently it’s almost as colorful. π
I think that’s one of the most positive things about blogging, why ever you start- it brings so many caring people into your life.
Agreed! It’s been a great exercise in discipline and friendship! π
