The Hunger

There is no great difference in reality between one country and another, because it is always people you meet everywhere. They may look different or be dressed differently, they may have a different education or position; but they are all the same. They are all people to be loved; they are all hungry for love.

      Joanne,
Blessed Mother Teresa inspires me so often. Not enough to give up everything, alas, but I hope I can follow some of her advice in small ways each day. πŸ™‚

This is indeed a very nice post and so very true. When traveling around the world for many years we were visiting interesting countries, great cities, and saw amazing places. We were confronted with sadness and happiness, beauty, fairness and unfairness, poverty, different cultures, diversity, and the fragility of human existence. We also met lots of wonderful people that helped us to get around and introduced us to their culture. Many of these are still our friends and we don’t want to miss them.

      Greetings!
I’ve also found that people have been the most interesting part of travel. Lovely buildings and bridges catch my attention, but I learn the most from the human beings. πŸ™‚ My family knows I’ll always want to travel a few times a year, if only to visit my friends in their various lands.
      Welcome,
      Paige

I like it when strangers become friends. Some of those I haven’t even met in person are still people I think of from time to time. “Remember tan jogging suit guy? Oh yes, yes, I do.” πŸ˜€
      Thanks,
      Paige
