This reminds me of a story that my wife used to read to her kindergarten class every year called “Flat Stanley”. A paper cutout was sent through the mail to places all around the world and framed against various historical and scenic backdrops. Sorta makes me want to be able to slip into an envelope and travel to all the places you’ve been Paige. Truth be told, though, you do a fine job of taking us along with you virtually through your words ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Dave, this is a Flat Stanley in the photo. ๐Ÿ™‚ The son of one of my students had that project in his class, so I received Stanley and took him around Croatia. We went to the beach as well, but that wasn’t as successful. I burn and he wilts.
I hope the blog will be more roomy than an envelope. I’m making plans to go abroad later this summer, so I’ll keep you up to date on the journey.

Like Dave, I enjoy the trips we take with you. I may never experience the awe of other countries, but you somehow make it so real, I feel as if I am there with you standing back and watching the interactions, places, and people.
