A Thank You Note on a Gloomy Day

I’m sorry. It’s been one of those days where I can’t seem to focus on anything for more than a few minutes. Tonight, I was preparing my coffeepot for tomorrow morning and scolded myself, “It’s Wednesday, you idiot! You didn’t blog.” As I hunted through my notebook for a sketch to fill in, I considered how long I’ve been posting the stories here–since September 2011. I realized of how many strangers have begun to follow this odd little endeavor. I’m humbled and often amazed at the fact that people who I’ve never met offer me kindness in reading my work. You’ve kept me going for a long time.

I’ve been trying to work on a longer writing project and it’s been such a struggle. I don’t know if I will ever have the faith to finish it, but I am so grateful that you’ve been a support to me here at the blog.

Thank you for being my Nice Thing.
