As they come down the isle of the airplane, it can be assessed that they are likely sisters, both about five feet tall, one with black hair the other lighter. They have the same round faces and hunched demeanor. They hoist one carry-on suitcase above their heads into the overhead compartment. They push to the edge of their reach, their arms straight overhead, then lose height as they giggle. Finally, it fits, and they turn to their second suitcase.
A teenaged girl in grey Converse shoes with purple laces gazes up anxiously from her overpriced airport egg salad sandwich to the activity above her seat. The women smother chuckles again. They are losing their grip on the black and grey roller bag and fail to make the bin. They lower the bag safely away from the seated girl. On another attempt, they laugh still harder until there is a chorus of seat belts unclicking from passengers reaching to offer them aid. Just then, they manage. It slides into place. The girl turns nervously back to her sandwich. “No problem,” they say calmly and generally, marching to their seats as though ten feet tall.

Perfect! I love it. It’s impressive to put such a clear impression in so few words, nicely done.
The interaction between sisters or women who are close like sisters is just bloody marvelous
