I know thousands of people who are waiting for their lives to slow down so they can become an artist. Your life is not going to slow down probably until you’re in the grave. So you’ve got to find a way of actually, in a sense, making your priorities matter.

How will you choose art, light, creativity today?
What a great reminder to choose life, art and to embrace a new adventure. I especially like the “again” in your title!!!
I often have to begin again…again. Usually, if I can just talk myself into it, I’ve won half the battle! Have a great week!
Thanks for the reminder… and the challenge!

Just read this in Scientific American: “Creativity Predicts a Longer Life –
The trait of openness improves health through creativity.”

Whoa. That’s uncanny! Who knew that I could ever think something “scientific!” 🙂
Given the obligations of life, it’s never easy to rearrange your life for your art. But to me it’s always been rewarding to do just that. Besides, I wouldn’t necessarily want life to slow down too much, because there’s so much to see and do. Though a slow down here and there is good, in order to recharge for the next adventure or challenge.
I also feel like when I DO have time, when life DOES slow down, I NEVER write! It’s when I’m in the thick of balancing obligations and commitments that the ideas generate and re-generate. When I’m idle, I want to eat cereal and watch football. (Also good, but not very poetic, I must admit.) 🙂
